Sue Brooks is now regarded as one of the most exciting & versatile female vocal impressionists in the UK. After her early days fronting bands in East Anglia and working on the local cabaret circuit, Sue is now working all over the UK and Europe. In 1990 she was chosen from over 5000 hopefuls to appear in the second series of Granada T.V's 'Stars in Their Eyeys'. Her fantastic impression of sultry singer Elkie Brooks is now known worldwide. She returned to the 'Stars' studio to appear on the 1991 Christmas Special, various television appearances followed including work on Anglia TV's 'Time The Place' and Breakfast TV. Sue recorded 2 singles in 1992 and has guested many times on Radio for Radio 2 local BBC Radio. Sue's act has now been seen all over Europe with working seasons at Butlins, Thomsons and Pontins. She can work seld-contained with brilliant backing tracks or with top of the range musical scores. She is now getting a reputation for her vocal impressions and has been compared to a female Joe Longthorne. She was described by 'The Stage' as strong on the emotive ballads with a touch of Bassey or even Piaf! and very ditinctive vocals and a warm personality make her one of the country's top professionals, guaranteed to entertain any audience. Recent venues worked include large theatres and top cabaret clubs such as 'Lakeside', 'Tall Trees' and 'The Barn'. Sue has recently supported acts as varied as 'David Copperfield', 'The Drifters', 'The Wursels', 'Brother Lees', 'The Deamers', 'The Bruvvers', 'Bernie Clifton' to name but a few.
